His background is Obstetric, Gynecological and Fertility Surgery He was trained in the United States and graduated with a PhD in Sexual Medicine from the Institute for Advance Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco, USA. Dr. Rughani has worked with the world's foremost authority in Sexual Medicine, Dr. Irwin Goldstein (San Diego, USA).

For approximately 30 years, Dr. Rughani has delivered professional medical care to patients worldwide. Having graduated with MBBS, DGO in 1980, he has practiced in India, Kenya and the USA.
